ITL BioMedical’s hot pink HR initiative makes tracks in CEO Magazine

A unique HR initiative by ITL BioMedical, which involved giving hot pink Yamaha scooters to employees at its manufacturing facility in Ipoh, Malaysia, has been profiled in CEO Magazine.

The scooter initiative is the brainchild of ITL Health Group founder and Executive Chairman Bill Mobbs.  ITL Health Group is the parent company of ITL BioMedical, which operates the Malaysian-based manufacturing facility.

The initiative was designed to recognise and retain the company’s largely female manufacturing work force and give employees greater independence in their daily lives.

“We train our staff extensively at ITL BioMedical, so keeping them with us for as long as possible is very important to us,” Mr. Mobbs told CEO Magazine.

“We’re confident our scooter initiative will help us attract and retain our highly-skilled local workforce for the longer term.”
